Memorial for communism victims in Tallinn, Estonia

This is the memorial for victims of communist terror, opened in 2018 in Tallinn, Estonia.

This place is the new memorial for victims of communist terror in Estonia, inflicted by Soviet Union during the 50 years of occupation. The memorial, opened in 2018, includes a path between two black walls running from symbolical “home garden” to the sea below. These walls have about 22 000 names of people who were either murdered or lost their lives in harsh conditions in forced exile in northern Russia.

The memorial can be found near the waterfront along the Pirita road, couple of kilometers east from downtown Tallinn. Visit the place and learn about unfortunate events that happened during the 50 years of communist occupation in Estonia.
